A fall cross-country running program for boys and girls grades 3-6 hosted at Smith Park in Rexburg. Practices start August 30. Meets, held most weeks, begin September 15. A championship meet concludes the season October 15.
Register for one of three options:
Option A: Practice Tuesdays (5:15-6pm) & Saturdays (8-8:45am) and participate in meets (with optional practice Thursday on non-meet weeks). For everyone, but targeted for beginning runners. Cost: $110
Option B: Practice Mondays & Wednesday (5:15-6pm) and participate in meets (with optional practice Thursday on non-meet weeks). For everyone, but targeted for those who know they enjoy running fast, but can’t commit to more than two practices and a meet per week. Cost: $110
Option C: Practice Mondays thru Thursdays (5:15-6pm) and Saturdays (8:00-8:45am) and participate in meets. For experienced runners who desire to train more. Will receive an additional team shirt. Cost: $140
Former Ricks College coach Doug Stutz and local athletes coach club members. The club is for beginners as well as experienced participants. Youth should look forward to running 2 miles or more at practices. Participants are expected to be self-disciplined, treat others kindly and be respectful.
The participation fee covers the cost of *uniform (tech t-shirt), practices, meets, and secondary insurance (Participants are expected to be covered by their parent/guardian’s insurance). Competition at meets is in the following grade groups: 3rd & 4th and 5th & 6th. Most race distances are 1 mile.
*Those who participate in the 2022 summer track & field program will use their same club t-shirts for cross-country. Their participation fee will be $20 less.
