Due to COVID-19, the 2020 season is in question. The following information is valid only if current restrictions are lifted. A fall cross-country running program for boys and girls grades 3-6 hosted at Smith Park in Rexburg. Practices are held Mondays and Wednesdays 5:15-6:00pm starting August 24, 2020. Meets, held most weeks, begin August 28. On weeks without a meet, an additional practice is held Fridays. A final meet concludes the season the second week in October.
Former Ricks College coach Doug Stutz coaches club members. The club is for beginners as well as experienced participants. Youth should look forward to running 2 miles or more at practices. Participants are expected to be self-disciplined, to treat others kindly and be respectful.
Competition at meets is in the following grade groups: 3rd & 4th and 5th & 6th. Most race distances are 1 mile. Club members receive* a tech t-shirt to wear as the team uniform at meets.
The registration fee for those who did not participate in the 2020 summer track & field program is $100. For those who did, the fee is $80. *Those who participated in the 2020 summer program use the same club t-shirts for cross-country.
